Butron Budinich Vineyards

Butron Budinich

From the 17th century on the Butron family  begun settling in the Cachapoal region pioneering the viticulture industry in the area. From the 1930’s the family started growing their own vines and making wines by Jose Butron.  Now, three generations later the grandson Jose Butron has incorporated state-of-the-art technology to lead with rejuvenated vigor the production of high quality wines, yet maintaining longstanding family traditions.

Vineyards

Located close to Rancagua and Requinoa, Butron Budinich owns 5 vineyards that differ in their terrain.  Each one of these vineyards present different micro climates that allow them to obtain a wide range of varietal characteristics. Even presenting these differences they all share common characteristics that ensure the high quality of their production, among these are cooling breezes from the Pacific Ocean and cool nights of the Andes. These factors allow the vines and grapes to mature slowly and at their own pace, ensuring that the concentration of flavors and sugars are at their optimal levels.  This knowledge of the growth of the grapes is combined with state-of-the-art vinification facilities enabling the winemakers to extract the full potential of the grapes and craft world class wines.
